Put Your Records On.

So, today has been long and crazy, but extremely good. That story is for another day. Today (or rather, tonight) I want to talk about a song that I've sort of just discovered.
It's called Put Your Records On By Corinne Bailey Rae.
It's a beautiful song, in tune and wordage (coined word)(it means that poetry coming from the perfect words)
I love it. It's going on my list of favorite songs.
And I've decided to put the lyrics here. Now, I know the drill. I'm gonna put the lyrics here and your gonna go, whatever and not read them. But, let me tell you, JUST READ THEM. They are beautiful. (*And if you hate them, then stop reading them) At least give them a chance. Two seconds of your time, is all that is needed.

So, here you go:

Put Your Records On
By Corinne Bailey Rae

Three little birds sat on my window
And they told me I don't need to worry
Summer came like cinnamon, so sweet
Little girls double-dutch on the concrete

Maybe sometimes, we got it wrong, but it’s alright
The more things seem to change, the more they stay the same
Oh, don’t you hesitate

Girl, put your records on, tell me your favorite song
You go ahead, let your hair down
Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams
Just go ahead, let your hair down

You're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow

Blue as the sky, sun burnt (sunburned) and lonely,
Sipping tea in a bar by the roadside,
(Just relax, just relax)
Don't you let those other boys fool you
Gotta love that afro hair-do
Maybe sometimes, we feel afraid, but it's alright
The more you stay the same, the more they seem to change
Don't you think it's strange?

Girl, put your records on, tell me your favorite song
You go ahead, let your hair down
Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams
Just go ahead, let your hair down

You're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow

Trust more than I could take, pity for pity's sake
Some nights kept me awake, I thought that I was stronger
When you gonna realize that you don't even have to try any longer?
Do what you want to!

Girl, put your records on, tell me your favorite song
You go ahead, let your hair down
Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams,
Just go ahead, let your hair down

Girl, put your records on, tell me your favorite song
You go ahead, let your hair down
Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams,
Just go ahead, let your hair down

Oh, you're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow

Aren't they just lovely words? I think so. So, now that you've read the words, now your ready for the song. It just makes the words even better; the tune does, that is. Go and listen to the song, it's great.

And now I must say goodnight, because I'm exhausted. Tomorrow is a new day. Adios, until much, much later.

GoodNight.
